Note: This procedure involves editing a game file; create a backup copy
of the file before proceeding. Use a text editor to edit the "proto.xml"
file in the "data" directory in the game folder. Note: You may first need
to uncheck the "Read Only" attribute of that file's properties in Windows
Explorer. Search for the text "CrateOf". You will find CrateofFood,
CrateofCoin, CrateofWood, CrateofFoodLarge, CrafteofCoinLarge, and
CrateofWoodLarge. For all these entries, find the tag "InitialResourceCount"
and change the count to whatever desired. For example, the normal crates
each have "100.000" of the resources. You can change the "100" to "99999.000",
etc. Make sure you do this for all the crates; sometimes a map will give
you a large crate of something, and smaller ones of something else, etc.
This works best because every map you play in campaign or skirmish starts
you with some "crates" of resources, which your settlers will gather out.
This will edit the crates to have huge amounts of resources in them.
However, it still takes a long time to get the resources out of the crate
for the settlers, because there are so many. If you are impatient, search
for "Settler" in the "proto.xml" file and find the tag for GatherCrate.
Change the value to whatever desired, preferably something very high
(for example, "99999"). They will pull the resources out of the crate instantly.

If you want 20,000 in coin, wood, and food for the single player campains all you
have to do is this:
-Start your campaign and save the game immediatly when it starts.
-Click "Menu" (top right), resign and go all the way back to the gameplay menu.
-Select single player, skirmish, and start a new skirmish game.
-The skirmish starts with 20,000 in all three resources.
-Click "Menu" (top right), then "Load", then pick the campaign that you just saved.
-The game will open up your saved campaign and the resources will now be 20,000.
This is totally wacky and obviously the developers were surfing the net
for Jennifer Aniston nude photos when they should have been debugging.

On the mill you will find an icon saying "reseed farm". Now select the mill then
press F3(game is paused)then see if you have enough wood then start clicking on
the icon.after sometime stop clicking.then press F3 again.you will have lots of
reseeds in the list.this will help you concentrate on the game than giving your
villagers farms again and again.

Defeating your enemies with Arbalest:
-------------------------------------
You can easily defeat any infantry from i.e.(Elite Teutonic Knight to Militia)
using your Arbalests. To accomplish this you must build an archery camp research
the archer to crossbowman and then to arbalest. These Arbalests when fully
researched e.g. (Carthaginian Tactics) are extremely powerful in range attack
and somewhat weak in combat. Just create 15 arbalests, Double-Click any one to
select all of them and just Right-Click to attack any enemy infantry or cavalry.
When our men they will come nearer to attack the enemy infantry attack the
arbalests. Since the arbalests are more in number the enemy infantry will die
on their way when trying to reach our men. The arbalests have very long range
so that they can easily kill the infantry and siege units. If they (enemies)
follow this technique it will be a problem to you so please be quicker.

Starting a career with any team:

If you support a team like Chelsea or Milan, and you want to choose
that team without having to buy all the career teams, use the
following trick. Go to then main menu, then select "Team Management",
then "Edit Player". Choose any team and begin to edit their players
up to 78. You can still leave some players with overall 83, but to
make sure leave them at 78. You can edit almost all, if not all, of
your team's players, Then, go to career mode and your team will be
available. Also because your overall is 78, your players will not
ask for more salary and you can keep that team always, unlike just
swapping the starting eleven's for the subs (even if you can choose
that team, you will lose a lot of salary and eventually be fired).
Do not worry about your players having overall 78. If you keep
winning, your players will almost go back to their original overall
stats. Also, go to Club Transfers and take some players you do not
need or like. This will also make your players ask for less salary,
because you will have less players.
